Built around one question: where is liquidity actually going?
FOLIO exists to give businesses and investors a clearer, model-driven view of cash-flow and risk — before it becomes a problem on the balance sheet.
Why we started FOLIO
FOLIO was founded on a simple observation: most organizations only discover a liquidity problem once it is already visible in late payments, stalled credit lines, or missed forecasts. By then, the window to act with confidence has mostly closed.
We set out to build a different approach — one that treats liquidity as something that can be modelled and monitored continuously, not just reviewed at quarter-end. That meant combining predictive risk analysis with cash-flow modelling into a single, ongoing view rather than a static report.
The result is a platform built for people who need to make decisions about capital, credit, and risk, and who want that decision grounded in current data rather than last month's snapshot.
Make liquidity risk legible, not reactive
Our mission is to translate complex cash-flow and risk signals into something decision-makers can actually act on — whether that's a finance team planning working capital, or an investor assessing exposure across a portfolio.
We believe liquidity intelligence should not require a team of specialists to interpret. It should be accessible, continuously updated, and specific enough to support a real decision, not just a general impression of "health."
The principles behind how we build
Clarity over complexity
A model is only useful if its output can be understood and acted on. We prioritize clear, explainable signals over opaque scoring.
Continuous, not periodic
Liquidity conditions shift constantly. We design our analysis to track that movement, rather than treating risk as a fixed, point-in-time label.
Precision with restraint
We would rather flag fewer, better-grounded risks than overwhelm users with noise. Every signal we surface is meant to inform a specific decision.
How the team works
Model-first thinking
Our team approaches every feature as a modelling problem first — asking what data genuinely predicts liquidity strain, rather than what is simply easy to display.
Close to the use case
We build in close contact with the finance and investment workflows our platform is meant to support, so the output stays practical rather than theoretical.
Iterative refinement
Risk modelling is never finished. We treat our analysis as something to continually test, refine, and improve as conditions and data evolve.
FOLIO is still a growing team, and we see that as part of the discipline — staying small and focused enough that every person working on the model understands exactly what it's meant to predict.
